Congrats! Again...

With the same paper as I used for the other Congrats!-card, which you can see ---> here <--- I made this one too. My friend has twins, so this one was for her other son, who too had his birthday.

For the sketch, I found one on Just Magnolia. Unfortunately I was too late to enter their challenge. But I thought it was a nice sketch, so I used it anyway.

I love to use bright colours and this paper made it possible. And I just love this little chap.

face: 170-190-620
hair: 600-630
his wardrobe and supplies: 050-130-440-080-340-250-640-670

Because I used designpaper for the base of the card, there were lines on the inside.
I decorated it just a little bit.

For the sentiment I brought out my Wizard again. I used the same little cuttlebug folder and embossed it on a diecut. Then I sanded the letters again and voilà, there it was: congrats!

Luckily I still have some designpaper left from Basic Greys "Colour me Silly". So I can make another card with this colourful paper.

Thanks again for your visit. Let me know what you think about this one, OK?!

HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!!!

I am so happy! There is a smile on my face, that doesn't come off.
Why?

I have been asked to join the Design Team of the Derwent-blog.

And of course I accepted.
As you probably know I always use my Derwent coloursoft pencils to colour my stamps. And when the Derwent-blog was created in april I applied for a place in the DT. At that time there was no place left for me. But now, the very talented Bep, resigned and a position came free.
And I got the job!! Isn't that great?!

Happy, happy, happy!!

Come on over to the Derwent-blog and join in on the fun, OK?!

The second easelcard....a little bit vintage?

And here is my second easelcard. It became a little bit vintage, don't you think?

Again designpaper from Marianne Design. As you can probably guess, I bought quit a lot of paperstacks of her. It's lovely paper!

The flowers had "real" leaves on this card.

I think this bridesmaid is a little bit shy, don't you think?

skin: 170-190-620
cheeks: 180
hair: 570-560-580-530
dress and hat: 200-120
shoes: 010-050
roses: 120
ground: 530
shadow: 360

I found this beautiful quote on Create with TLC
Entering this one too on the Stamp Man Challenge to make an easelcard.

Would love to hear what you think of this one!

Thanks for your visit,

2 Easelcards!

Last weekend I started with 2 easelcards. It was a while ago, that I made such a card and I thought it would be fun again. The sketch is from the Scrap and Stempel club. Here is the first one.

I used designpaper from Marianne Design. I love it. The papers fit perfectly with each other.

There are various flowers on it, but I must point out the little orange ones made out of tulle. They are adorable. I got these from my new friend Guida (thanks!!). The swirl is from Marianne Design and I borrowed it from my mum.

Isn't this flowergirl sweet?

skinn: 170-190-620
hair: 590-630
cheeks: 180
dress and shoes: 200
basket and socks: 010-050
roses and flowerleaves: 120
ground: 530
shadow: 360

The sentiment was on the blog of Sentimental Sundays a couple of weeks ago. It is a beautiful quote from Alexander Smith. I printed it out and used a nestibility to cut it.

I would like to enter this card on:

The Stamp Man Challengee: make an easelcard

I hope you enjoyed your visit again, know that I love having you over!!

Congrats!

With the colourful paper of Basic Grey (Color me Silly), I made this card for the son of my friend. He was turning 10. I wasn't sure he likes to go fishing, but I liked the stamp of this little fisherman, so I used it.
I would want to participate in the following challenges:

Fussy & Fancy: for the sketch
Derwent: anything goes, but colour with Derwent pencils

It has become a very boyish card I think. No bows and girly stuff!

For the sentiment I brought out my Wizard. I used a little cuttlebug folder and embossed it on a piece of paper. Then I sanded the letters and voilà, there it was: congrats!

A quarter of the circle pops out of the big one a little bit.

I love the bold colours of this little man.

face: 170-190-620
hair: 600-630
his wardrobe and supplies: 050-130-440-080-340-250-640-670

For the inside I used the negative of the circle on the front and I made another "congrats!"
(I loved it so much!)

What do you think? Let me know, OK?!
Thanks!!

Celebrate the moments

The other day my mother had her birthday, so I made her a card. And because she just loves purple, was it not difficult to choose the coloursetting. I saw a beautiful sketch in Magnolia Ink which I used.
I would like to enter in the following challenges:

Flutter by Wednesday: open challenge with butterflies
Derwent: everything goes, but colour with Derwent pencils

I decorated with some flowers, leaves and buttons.

Because she has 3 granddaughter (my 3 girls), I decided to mask 3 Ollyfant-girls for her card. A little indiangirl, a farmergirl and a citygirl, coloured with my favourite Derwent pencils.
skin: 170-190-620
cheeks: 180
hair indiangirl: 590-630
hair farmergirl: 530-630
hair citygirl: 570-560-580-530
green: 440-420
purple: 230-260-280

The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday and I used paper from Marianne Design.

For the inside I punched out 3 circles and placed them together with yet another Technique Tuesday-sentiment.

And of course on the back my personal stamp.

My mother was very happy with her presents AND card. Tell me please what you think?!
Thanks!!

Stoer

For a little boy I made this card with a knight on it.

The shape of the card is a pennant as seen on the top of a knight's castle. The front of the card I cut out with my Silhouette. And I draw back and cut it out by hand. To dress the card I placed a nice red feather on top.

I made a ticket with "stoer" on it. It means tough in dutch.

Here you can see the inside of the card. I used paper that "changes" from red to white.

And to emphasize the ticket I used a chipboard diecut from Basic Grey. I painted it with my dabbers and sprayed with some pearl Glimmer mist.

The knight in shining armour was a little bit difficult to colour. But I managed to get the job done!

skin: 180+610
armour: 660+670+690
feather and shield: 100+120
shadow: 360
ground: 530
and I used my silver pen and white pen

Do you like my though guy? I do!!

Take good care

I already started this card last tuesday, but I've just finished it today. I had a very bad toothache and it appeared to be an infection of my jaw. But after a visit to the dentist and with some penicillin I made it through the week.

Back to my card. This sweet round sketch I saw on Mojo Monday. I cannot enter anymore because it is an oldie, but I love it. Specifically the symmetry. But I can enter this one to the following challenges:

Derwent: use green, pink and a round shape
Flutterby Wednesday butterfly and (my daughters) favourite colour (which is pink :-))
Fussy and Fancy: use pink and black

I used designpaper from Marianne design, Eline's babies pink and added some black cardstock.

This pretty flower is a Silhouette-one. I cut it out with my Sil, sprayed some water on the petals and rumpled them up so I could get some 3D effect. It is a beauty this flower. I used it for the first time her, but I'm sure I will use it more in the future. Also the black border is cut with my Silhouette.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts and the three little butterflies on the card are made with a punch from TomTas.

The white oval is stamped with a nice swirl with distress ink. This Magnolia girl is coloured in matching colours of course.

Using the following colours:

skin: 170-190-620
hair: 700-660-650
cheeks: 200
sweater and socks: 190-210
trousers: 490-470

When it was finished I sprayed the whole card extensively with glimmermist. I tried to make a good picture, but I don't know if you can see it, but it is sparkling this card!

Will you let me know what you think of this card? I do so appreciate it. I love to read your comments.
Thanks for stopping by!!
