Hurra for deg.... (by Malin-Anna)

Hi, remember I made a bookmark for my husband? This was for the challenge on Scrappekammeret, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree". This challenge is also for children. They can participate and win a price as well. My daughter made a card.

She picked out a lightblue cardstock and matching designpaper. She draw an apple on red designpaper and clipped it out. For the stem she took out her Topmodel markers and draw it on the apple. The leaves and the stamp are from mommy's stash!

Because Malin-Anna makes cards on a regular basis, she got her own stamp from Santa last year.
Of course is on this card too.

Here she is with her latest cards! Aren't they adorable?!
If you would leave her a message, I know she will be very happy.
Thanks!

Malin-Anna and Nicole

Have a great day!

My oldest daughter is turning 7 in July and I already made a card for her. I read about three challenges which all three fit the bill perfectly:

1. the sketch from Friday Sketchers
2. Cute and girly from A Spoon full of Sugar
3. Using only pink in your colouring from Derwents

I made this card at my mom's and I used some of her dies from Crealies.
The little pink roses I found in her stash!!

This cute prinsess is a Ollyfant stamp, just coloured with pink. For those who are interested, I used the following pencils: face: 180 + 610, hair: 650 + 660 + 690, wardrobe: 160 + 210.

The beautifull dress is a little big for this little princess.

Of course I did some decorating on the inside.

Now I have to keep this one a secret for my girl for two months. But in the end I am sure that she is going to like her princesscard.

Thanks for your visit!

Mushrooms and so much more!

This lay-out was made during National Scrapbooking Day/Weekend. The challenge with this one was, to make a lay-out inspired by a picture of nature. In the Netherlands, we lived near a beautiful forest with serveral lakes. It was wonderful to visit it expecially in the autumn when there were a lot of mushrooms.

The branches I cut out with my Silhouette. And for the tittle I used my spellbinders wizard with my mothers sizzix dies.

The lay-out comes from pagemaps. I love this site because I usually have a lot of pictures and Becky makes sketches where you can fit in many pictures in one lay-out.

I love this picture. I think the contrast of nature's green with the pink of the girls coats is just beautiful.
The grass under the picture was cut out also with my Silhouette. And the journalingblock I found on a designerspaper.

What do you think of my lay-out? Please let me know, OK? Thank you!!

Eplet faller ikke langt fra stammen

On the blog from Scrappekammeret can you find a very different challenge. You have to create something after the saying "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree". Because my husband is a passionate reader and his parrents too (his mother was a librarian) I made him a bookmark. Of course it became a tree with a little apple! To make it a little bit stronger I laminated it. Last sunday I gave it to him as a extra birthdaypresent. Of course it is already in his book!!

I forgot to mention that I cut this nice tree and apple with my silhouette.

Bicycle

This sketch was challenge nr. 10 at the National Scrapbooking Weekend at Scrapbook Express last weekend.

And I made this lay-out. I used a paperkit from Basic Grey, beautiful with embellishements and an alphabet.

Two kinds of flowers.

A beautiful butterfly.

And how about this playfull alphabet.

The flowerborder is a sticker and the two others are pieces of paper.

The black and white photos have a soft green mat.

Please tell me what you think of this lay-out!!

Gratulerer!

A friend from my daughter is going to be a big sister again. Her mommy is pregnant and we want to congratulate the whole family with this nice card. I used the sketch on the challengeblog from Scrappekammeret

Because we don't know if it is going to be a boy or a girl, I used the colours pink and green in the paper and also in the flowers.

I coloured this beautiful pregnant Magnolia (which my dear friend Linda stamped for me, thanks Linda!!) with my Derwent coloursoft pencils. For those who are interesed, I used the following pencils:
face: 180 + 610, hair: 530 +630, shoes: 500, trousers: 390 + 420 +  500, sweater: 160, hairribbon: 560.

Of course the card needs a sentiment. I chose a simple "gratulerer" which meens congrantulations.

Hope you enjoyd your visit here. I love to read your comments on my card!!

National Scrapbooking Day or uhm... Weekend!!

Last Saterday was National Scrapbooking Day and the forum I'm on (Scrapbook Express) orginazed a whole weekend with 16 different kinds of challenges. It was so fun to scrap the whole weekend. I made a whole bunch of lay outs which I will show you all in the following blogposts.

Here comes number 1. The challenge was to make an lay out about food or eating.
I used a sketch from Page  Maps.

Our youngest is eating, well actually strungling with a biiiig muffin!

I used some flowers made of wood (the pink ones) and some kind of foam (the red ones).

For the borders I used my Martha Stewart punch.

The title are Tickers felt letter stickers.

To make a box for my journal I draw this nice and simple curved line with my black pen.

Look at my little one, staring at her muffin! Isn't she sweet?!

I am very happy with my first contribution.
Do you like it to? Let me know!!
